132KVThe power transmission and transformation project includes 112 km power lines and 132KV Bikita substation project, which is invested by China Mineral Resources and connected to Zimbabwe's TOKWE 330KV substation and Bikita Mine Mountain。The project will be officially built in May 2023，The one-time transmission was successful on March 17, 2024，It took only 10 months，It is the shortest construction time and best quality project of similar projects in Zimbabwe Power Transmission and Transformation Company in the past 20 years，Set a new record for such a project，At the same time, it was identified as a model project of similar projects by Zimbabwe Power Transmission and Transformation Company。
Chairman Wang said in his speech，The project has received strong support from the Zimbabwean government, the power sector and the community，Added another backbone transmission line to Zimbabwe's national grid，The electricity supply environment from Masvingo to Bikita, Nyika and Zaka will be greatly improved，Improve the power supply capacity of cities and towns along the route，Alleviate the problem of electricity shortage for local residents。For the Bikita mine, it will greatly improve the mine's power security conditions, reduce the dependence on fossil fuels, and significantly reduce production costs。This project is also another major measure of carbon reduction and emission reduction of China Mining Resources after the photovoltaic power generation project, and is a win-win example of the local community and Bikita mine, reflecting the high importance of ecological and environmental protection of China Mining Resources and the commitment of responsible Chinese enterprises to low-carbon environmental protection。We look forward to continuing to maintain close communication and cooperation with the Zimbabwean government and all sectors of society to jointly promote the further development of Bikita Mine and make greater contributions to the well-being and friendship of the two peoples.
